Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Closed Sunday
Due to a broken chilled water line, many UW-Madison buildings are experiencing higher than normal temperatures and humidity. Although the Geology Museum remains open, we encourage our visitors to be mindful of the current campus-wide challenges and consider postponing their visit, if possible, until these issues have been resolved.
To further help with building air flow, all visitors must enter through the Charter Street entrance. Please see the map below for guidance.
Museum location
The Geology Museum is located on the campus of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. We are located in Weeks Hall at 1215 W. Dayton Street, two blocks east of Camp Randall Stadium on the corner of Charter Street and Dayton Street.

Directions
Parking, bus, and bike information
The nearest UW parking lots are Lot 80 (beneath Union South) and Lot 17 (off of Engineering Drive). Meters are located on Monroe Street outside of Camp Randall Stadium, and there are two-hour unmetered spots on the streets south of the museum (but it is often difficult to find an open spot).

Buses operate regularly on University Avenue, W. Johnson Street, and Park Street, all of which are within walking distance of the museum.

There are public bike racks available outside the building. The closest bike share (Madison BCycle) station is at Union South, one block away.
Accessibility
The museum is located on a single level of Weeks Hall and is wheelchair accessible. Stools are available for visitors to use within the museum if needed.
